Nelson Cooking Classes

Roasted Eggplant, Mango & Soba Noodle Salad 1

I offer a series of inspirational cooking classes for the home cook.  Classes are built around fresh, seasonal, local produce and are influenced by the various cuisines from the around the world that I have enjoyed on my travels.  All classes offer a "hands-on" experience for participants, at the end of which you will share a meal of the food you have created or will have goodies to take home.  Classes are held in my home kitchen and are limited to eight people.

Some classes will focus on a particular seasonal theme or style of cuisine;  e.g. Greek, Spanish, Italian, Moroccan, Indian, Quintessential Summer, Easter Festive Entertaining, and more.  In each of these classes we will prepare a 3 or 4 course meal.  Participants will work in groups, with each group preparing and cooking one of the courses.  At the end we will sit down to dine on the meal you have created with a glass of wine.  A great opportunity to learn new skills and meet new friends, or get a group together for a great night out.

Other classes will focus on specific skill building techniques, such as cheese making, the art of curing, sausage making, or pasta making.

I also offer fortnightly, vegetarian cooking classes, focusing in each class on a particular seasonal vegetable.  We'll create 2 or 3 dishes using that ingredient, and you'll leave with some goodies or enjoy a meal together.

    A wonderfully patient lady who introduced the class to some new techniques and some amazing flavours. Thanks Sue I learned alot and I will be back.
